Miracle- Hello! guinea/chicken crossbreed

Hello M. Just catching up. Have not had a "puter" for a few weeks. Got the old one running finally.

Your pic is VERY handsome/beautiful. You are a lovely looking hybrid !!

Keep up the wonderful work Mena. BTW, childrens books are usually published with watercolor/paintings of originaly pictures. Candid artwork will go a LONG way in getting your work published.

Great day M !!

Have a great day.

I have been away from the computer for a few months due to health reason's and just got caught up on Miracle story first i wanted to say that writing a book is a great idea I have a special needs daughter and would love to buy the book so put me down on the list to pre-order the book. I also have a question what type of chickens are the golden chickens the ones that are wearing the saddles I am not sure I am new to chickens. I love the stories of Miracle and her friends I am voting that she is a girl and I hope is the one in a million that is fertile it would be great to see what kind of eggs/babies she would have. keep the updates and pictures coming I can't wait to read more about her.

Seeing as how Miracle was gigantic as a chick compared to her Guinea siblings, I was wondering, now, how big is she/he compared to adult Guineas and chickens.? More chicken sized or more guinea sized?

Hello from Miracle,

Sorry I have not written in a while. I had a hard time getting Mena to type for me because she has been planting a vegetable garden and putting wire on the flower beds so we can't scratch in them. I really hate it when she does that. Maybe something good will come up in the garden and we can scratch in there. Some nice fresh tomatoes and squash would be great.

Something strange is going on with my guinea relatives. I don't know what they are doing but the boys like to play chase. They will run and run and run. Up and down the fence ...... over and over again. It must be some kind of contest. When they finish racing they usually just go back to grazing for bugs and grass seeds. Sometimes they go for a nice walk with their girl friends or take a nice dust bath.

I am still very careful around the chickens and the guineas because they still chase me a little bit. Not nearly as much as they used to, though. I have grown up a lot these last few weeks. My friends and I have our own routine and we hunt for food together. When we were younger we stayed close to the barn but now we go waaaaaaaay out. There are tasty bugs and seeds everywhere but you have to work a little harder to get the best ones.

It is getting a lot warmer here. The heat seems to bother me more than it does the other birds. When it gets 70 degrees I start panting with my mouth open. I think I will have to ask for air conditioning in the coop.
