Miracle- Hello! guinea/chicken crossbreed

Quote:
Oh, yes! Miracle loved my purple wave petunias. They are small in this picture of her but they have grown to spill over the sides now. I caught her in it again just a week ago.

Here is a picture of the little garden spot where we placed her. It was smaller but we enlarged it a little to circle her. The plants will have to fill in the bare spots. There was a huge cedar tree there that had to be cut and the roots will be there a long time. I wanted to leave the stump and plant a little garden around it. I'll put something there that says "Miracle's Garden".

Oh Mena.....Miracle was such a special joy to those of us who followed the ups and downs of his/her life. I have purple wave petunias each year because our Adam, 24 year old son with Down Syndrome, always wants me to get them each Spring. I've tried to get him to "try something different" but he always insists on them. I will now always see them as doubly special because they were Miracle's favorite too! And, I'll never hear the word miracle again without thinking of your special one that you shared so beautifully with all of us.

Mena - I too have followed Miracle's journey. Miracle is SO missed - she was one of a kind. It would be nice for another "Miracle" to appear on the horizon but that will probably not happen. Miracle was such a beautiful and majestic bird. I know she is happy up with her friends and it is great that her body is the place she loved most. I will miss hearing the stories from such a special bird.

Thought and prayers!

NOOOOOO!!!!! Not Miracle! Oh Mena I'm so sorry! She will be missed so much!

Now how am I going to look at my Purple Petunias without crying? I bought them after seeing Miracles picture in the wheelbarrel. She liked them so much I thought maybe my chickens & guineas might like them too.

Oh, I'm sorry about messing up your petunia gazing! At least you don't have to look at them and feel guilty because you chased Miracle out of them.

Thank you. Please enjoy those petunias.

Mena,
I spent the better part of half a day this weekend sharing Miracles story.
She really was a special bird, and I am so glad you told her story here.
Thank you for giving me a lift with her life.
Beth

Mena, please don't feel guilty for chasing Miracle out of the petunias. She was a smart girl and knew that you didn't want her up there. She was probably up there so that she could look closely to see if there were any tasty bugs on them. But there weren't, so she let you feel powerful and big by chasing her away from the flowers.

I'm very sorry that she's gone. Thank you for writing such wonderful things, and sharing so many wonderful pictures of your sweet, beautiful bird.

Oh, no! I just now found this, having been out of town over the weekend for my son's graduation. The subject of hybrid animals had come up, and I told my son & daughter all about Miracle and your wonderful sharing of her in story and pictures. I'm so sad for you. I'm glad you were with her when she died; it seems it would have been harder to just find her gone. I, for one, would love to hear continued stories from (Y)OurLittleChickenFarm! You really are a great storyteller. And Miracle's Garden is now my desktop background. Bless you for sharing with all of us on BYC. Condolences, prayers, and thoughts to you and yours! Greta
