This chicken is ALL legs. What is the breed (if it's not a sexlink) and gender? S/he is 5.5 weeks (6 weeks Monday). S/he is also not as fully feathered as our other 5 week olds.

Coop is almost done. I put them outside all day (sun up to sun set) and they sleep in their bigger brooder at night. This sexlink is the only one to have a really awkward stage. LOL all the others went from cute to pretty. LOLShe's at that awkward stage ... Hope you got their coop ready. You can start acclimating them to the outside World.
Looks all pullet from here....just at the awkward stage.
Was it from a hatchery/retailer or private flock? The latter is where you can find issues as some folks believe breeding a sex link to a sex link = sex links, but the resulting chicks are not sex linked and you can get chicks that hatch red but are male.
Shes a red sex link.....sold under lots of different proprietary names, but all resulting from gold based cock over silver based henJust a mom and pop retailer. She wasn't a dark color when we bought her. I'm not sure what type of sexlink she is. My 11 year old just liked her.
What form of sex linking is being employed there......wing sexing crosses?agreed that she looks like a red sex link pullet. her legs do look thick which could be the teenage phase. There are sex link red rangers with cockerals being red, but I don't think that is the case here.
