So, the Brahma egg did not develop, but I'm hatching a plan (lol...) to get more Brahma eggs tomorrow to sethows the dark Brahma egg and all the rest of the little ones? We currently have 25 Marans eggs in the incubator. New tread coming soon!![]()
If you want Brahma eggs, I can get some from the neighbor but it's not looking like shipping between our states is hugely successful! So, the Brahma egg did not develop, but I'm hatching a plan (lol...) to get more Brahma eggs tomorrow to setif I do, you're first in line to name them! We haven't had any develop yet, apparently they are waiting for warmer weather, maybe we need to ship a few down to you so they can get that warm spring feeling and start growing
That's super exciting on the Marans!
I had wanted Brahma's when we first got chickens, I'd still like a hen or two, but it seems they aren't great layers. The breeder I've been getting eggs from locally has them, so far none that have been test set have developed, so I'm still here just taking one for the team by putting some in the incubator, it's such a burdenIf you want Brahma eggs, I can get some from the neighbor but it's not looking like shipping between our states is hugely successful!

That's not a bad thing that they take a break, my hatchery laying breeds just never take a break and I'm sure it isn't healthy for them. It is good to have some eggs trickling in through the winter for all the Christmas baking though!Mine have been seasonally prolific. All winter, nothing at all. In the summer they laid every single day
