So, the Brahma egg did not develop, but I'm hatching a plan (lol...) to get more Brahma eggs tomorrow to set 🤣 if I do, you're first in line to name them! We haven't had any develop yet, apparently they are waiting for warmer weather, maybe we need to ship a few down to you so they can get that warm spring feeling and start growing 😃

That's super exciting on the Marans!

If you want Brahma eggs, I can get some from the neighbor but it's not looking like shipping between our states is hugely successful!

I had wanted Brahma's when we first got chickens, I'd still like a hen or two, but it seems they aren't great layers. The breeder I've been getting eggs from locally has them, so far none that have been test set have developed, so I'm still here just taking one for the team by putting some in the incubator, it's such a burden :lau I mean, they have REALLY had to be very persuasive to get me to pop a few in my incubator... :gig:lau

Mine have been seasonally prolific. All winter, nothing at all. In the summer they laid every single day

That's not a bad thing that they take a break, my hatchery laying breeds just never take a break and I'm sure it isn't healthy for them. It is good to have some eggs trickling in through the winter for all the Christmas baking though!
