Mislabeled Whats?

I woke them up to check. One does have feathers on its legs, the other doesn’t.

lol I’m pretty hands off with my chickens and that is way too up in their business for me! Time will tell, I guess. Hatchery stock means they aren’t necessarily a good example of whatever they are, or anything purebred necessarily. Still just hoping for female, though it will be a little while before I can tell that.

I was back at RK today and asked a different employee. He suggested EE, but when I found the remaining chicks like these, they were labeled Tetra Brown pullets. Google says no on that, too. Still a mystery. My guess is one of the production varieties, or just low quality Sussex.

Mislabeling aside, I love this store. They had guineas, pheasants, turkeys, ducks and were schedule to receive geese and silkies, too. And they had a bin of beautiful chicks I had never seen before. Loving the variety. I’m second guessing my practice of hatching all my new birds. Obviously I’ve already broken that rule once!
