What can I say except beautiful. If you don't do photography for a living you missed your calling. Good thing it's butt was hanging out the door, and I think goose poo is big.

I have two lakes like that near me and, at one lake, I watch over them, too, even count them. We're not allowed to feed them, though, but many people do. There are so many mean people around and I only go at certain times because I hate it when kids throw things at the animals or chase them around and their parents do nothing or even think it's fun or OK to do. And, there's no officials there to keep people from doing whatever they want.

I have heard of strange things going on at one of the lakes and I know that some of the animals have died because of things that people do to them. I try to talk to people about the birds so that they will see them as individuals with different personalities and not stupid animals.

At one lake, they had six or seven goslings, but only two survived. At the other lake, I think there's only one female out of eight geese total, so no babies. But, gobs and gobs of ducklings.

You just described my dad in the first part of your statement. And I quote... "You and those ducks." (insert his eye roll here.)

But the last sentence describes MY husband, ... "Can I hold the new duck yet? Or is he still too young." They proceeded to watch TV together. ( I have a "no handling the babies for 3 days after hatch" rule.)
