hello there im not sure whether im posting this in the correct section but me and the family have decided to keep chickens we have done a lot of research an are really excited about it
we decided on polish bantams and silkie bantams we ordered 12 eggs off ebay let them rest 24 hours then set them in our covatutto 16 incubator i've been doing this hatch dry with a 25 humidity and the correct temp according to research and instructions
we are now on day 14 and i have 4 embryos out of the 12 the rest where just yolks and infertile, these guys are growing well and move when candled which i've been trying not to do
however they have quite large air sacks that slant down the one side like a tear drop shape i have been online searching for answers i don't think they are detached cells as when i move the egg the air cell does not move around im so worried !!
i have added around two table spoons of water to the incy as i have read from research this will help
should i place the eggs upright in an egg carton or leave them be also when should i stop turning the eggs as ive read its best to stop turning earlier than the lockdown day 18 with misshapen air cells any help would be extremely appreciated thankyou
