I found this egg in the coop today and there was another one similar to it yesterday. could it be a symptom of vent gleet because one of the brown egg laying chickens might have vent gleet. we only have two brown egg layers for sure and one is a silkie so it isn’t hers because hers are much smaller. there is one hen who has only recently started laying and she might be laying brown eggs but she is supposed to be a pure bred ameraucana and lay blue eggs. should I be concerned about this since it has happened twice in a row now?

I got one or two that looked like that about 4 weeks ago and that was it. Didn't see or find any issues with the ladies so I just let it be. Hopefully there isn't anything wrong!

we are treating her for vent gleet now but she has had the wet looking feathers for about two months so hopefully she will start to get better. this is the best picture I have of her right now I will take another one when I get the chance

Looks like urates/poop on the feathers, have you looked at her vent to see if there's a continuous yeasty discharge? That would be vent gleet if there is.
her vent looks totally fine it’s just her feathers that are the problem and the clear fluid only comes out when she poops

Then it's urates sticking to the feathers.
Give her fluff a bit of trim next time you give her a clean up. Some birds are extra fluffy and poop gets stuck to it.

If she's not leaking, then it's not vent gleet.
