I live in South MS and year around my hens have been heavy layers. Starting this spring the laying seemed to come to an abrupt halt and all we were finding was a few broken eggs in the nest. I raised another brood of hens who are now pullet size and still no eggs. We may get one egg a day from 12 hens. I do have a very tame rooster. We think it could possibly be rats getting the eggs but not sure. We have seen no signs of what kind of egg thief this could be. It is very frustrating to have 12 hens and have to buy eggs. Any ideas anyone?
