Missing beaks

Wow, that's alarming. If it were just one, but two? Do you have any snap traps around?

Snipped- The most common ways chickens damage their beaks are from fights with other flock members, getting them caught in hardware wire or other small spaces, or from predator attacks.

No snap traps or anything that they can get tangled in.

Did you get them as chicks or are they rescue birds from a production facility? Production facility birds frequently have their beaks clipped/cauterized as chicks to reduce feather pecking/plucking.

Usually not that far though, and not as messily. That to me appears to be the work of another animal.
