Missing Chicken

Ok so my daughters dog got out of her kennel. (She is 6 and never,never gets out of it) Well today she did. I heard alot of comotion. I seen chickens flying everywere. Everyone is accounted for except 1 black banty hen. I did see her fly so I know she is alive. I can't find find her anywere. I just walked all 13 acres. Any ideas pn how to coax her back????????

She'll probably come back on her own in a bit. She's used to being with the other chickens. Just make sure the dog isn't running around outside.

Yeah, look for her at night fall, she will probably come home to roost.

She wouldn't go too far. If she's not hurt she will be back by roosting time I'm sure. She is probably hiding close by.

Well. I typed my help message after looking for her for over a hour or more. I typed my post and went back out for my second attempt at walking the property. I got around the back side of my house and seen her fly from the lower peek of my house. I am so glad shes ok. Thanks everyone. At least I got some excercise today.

Shes missing some tail feathers. But at least shes alive.

Now that everything is quiet again. Do tail feathers grow back??

They should grow back, yes!

..might take a month or so....LOL...She was just scared and hid out from you for awhile, they usually return to their coops when they think everything is alright....

I have never heard of or seen a chicken fly that high. She must have super powers.
