Missing egg from silkie.

Yesterday I found 1 egg laying in the coop. I have 2 broody hens, 1 hen hatched a baby, the other us still sitting on 1 egg. This am I went in , the egg I put under the other hen that hatched a chick was missing? The other hen still only has 1 egg that she was sitting on, so where did the other egg go go? Did she hide it? Today she's in the other corner of the coop with her chick..I looked thru pine shavings and didn't find the egg. What should I do?

I feel like I just read a riddle. Maybe she pushed it out or one of them ate it.
