There is a Chicago airport called 0'Hare airport. If I got a dime for every time someone, even Chicago residents have called it "O'Hara!" I'd have plenty of dimes. Which beats pennies any day.

Now, this autocorrect stuff is pretty much unheard of for me, as my computer doesn't have autocorrect, unless I start up LibreOffice to write. And even in LibreOffice, it doesn't do anything drastic.
I have spell check, but not autocorrect... is this odd?

I pronounce Marans with the accent on the second syllable. mah-RANZ I've never heard of the S being silent, but possibly??

It would probably not be said in French except when the next word starts with a vowel, if you were using it in a sentence.

"E" for "see there," and "i" for "it's theirs?"

I always associate where with there. That helps me.

When the -s- is omitted from Marans simply because there is only 1 chicken. Marans is always marans, regardless of 1 or 40.

Is correct since they are referring to chickens (plural) and not chicken singular. In the case of a single chicken, it would be "What is your chicken's favorite treat?"

It doesn't say treat.
