This has nothing to do with chickens, but is an abomination to the language that always makes me physically flinch when I hear it: Co-conspirator. Should just be conspirator, no matter how many are in on the plot. One "co-" is enough! Thanks for this thread, it's been a blast!

Now, this autocorrect stuff is pretty much unheard of for me, as my computer doesn't have autocorrect, unless I start up LibreOffice to write. And even in LibreOffice, it doesn't do anything drastic.
I have spell check, but not autocorrect... is this odd?

Not odd, it varies depending on the program and/or settings.

I've seen a lot of newbies using "air sack" or even "air sac" to describe the air cell in eggs lately.

Maybe it's in some silly facebook post going around, since people seem to rely on being educated through ridiculously misinformed fact-sheets on social media today.

I almost put a disclaimer on the initial post about non-Americans having their own spellings of certain words, different from Americans.

Did you mean to write English speakers use the correct spellings?
