Mite/lice infestation not going away and some are broody hens with chicks to hatch in 72 hours

Can you tell us who outlawed the use of Sevin dust for poultry? A link perhaps?

Last time I checked it was DDT that was outlawed, not Sevin.

It says on the label not for animals.
DDT is also outlawed, I didn't realize that part was in my post, I had just overlooked it.
Permethrin is now the recommended insecticide for use on animals.

I was only trying to help, not start a debate or step on anybody's toes.

Permethrin is what's in the poultry dust at the feed stores I shop at. They used to carry a different dust, the one with Carbaryl, the same stuff in Sevin, and like you, I heard that Carbaryl is no longer approved for use in poultry. I tried looking for info on it, but gave up...

Thank you everyone for your advice and input. The NuStock may have affected my broody's eggs as they did not hatch yesterday but I will wait and see. I did receive the Ivermectin pour on, although it is strong and not everyone's first choice I'm going to try it. I did a Valbazan flock treatment recently as well (last 2 months) I will look for another poultry dust but will continue with the Sevin until I purchase another (my feed store did not have any). It's been raining so I can't treat my run yet. Once things get dry I will be tackling everything again based on feedback received.

One chick hatched inside my coop with my other broody hen and my entire flock has stayed in there today to watch and listen to the baby. It was the funniest thing to have to muscle my way in because they were all waiting around like a delivery room!
