Attached is a photo of my poor BLRW. This feather change and loss has happened over the last few weeks. She acts normal. She is eating, drinking and laying. We treated the whole flock for mites- she is the only one out of 10 that looks like this. I’m at a loss as to what is going on with her and how to help her.

Did you dust or spray the coop andoverrated? What did you use?
A lot of the little buggers need to be treated weekly for a while to ensure you get any newly hatched bugs.
Is she being picked on or overmated?
What type of feed are you using?

thank you for the response! So I used permethrin spray for the coop and did a dip for the flock last Wednesday. I was planning on repeating the spray for the coop this week and then dusting each bird this week.
I don’t have a rooster - she could be getting picked on and I just haven’t witnessed it.
They are fed an 18% protein dumor feed.

All sounds good to me...multiple permethrin treatments should take care of any pest you may be having.
