Mites?

Hello everyone, I have some black sex link hens that keep having problems with their feathers growing back. Some of the skin on them appears to be red and irritated, could it be more causing this problem? I’ve attached a photo here of the breast of one of the girls, any help is appreciated greatly.

Ach, I know there’s people out there that are against using chemicals on their pets but don’t we use chemicals to get better when we’re sick, injured etc.
I just go to the vet and buy mite drops. One drop on the chickens neck prevents it from getting mites for 3 months.
 
For the spray do you apply it throughout the coop or how does it work?
Yes, it is labeled for use in both the coop and on the birds.
This photo is just one of many types of permethrin based sprays on the market.
There are a lot more to choose from.
I prefer this exact one because it is "ready to use" no mixing involved.
