Collected my eggs this morning and saw a few very tiny red and brown little round bugs on them. Is this mites? I checked all the chickens I do not see any around their vent or neck area (I am aware they could still be there I just don't see them on them) and their legs look ok. A bit reddish between the "toes" on some birds. I saw to use elector PSP but I can't afford the $160 price tag right now. Will

Durvet Permethrin 10%, 8oz work?

Will provide photos. How do I go about getting rid of them as fast as possible?

I want to edit to add, if elector psp really is one and done deal and will be the best option I will invest in it. But would obviously prefer a cheaper route if possible.

I like Martins or Gordons permethrin 10 if you can find it at TSC. The pint size is very economical around $12. Mix it with water 1 tsp per quart of water in a spray bottle, and use it on chickens 15 ml, and it can be used to spray the cracks in the coop where mites can hide. In cold weather permethrin garden dust is better for the chickens, since it won’t get them damp. For mites, treat the chickens every 7 days ant least twice until no mites are seen.

Do I sprinkle the garden dust on them like fluff it in their feathers to get on their skin. Or should I just keep them in the run and provide it in a dust bath and theyll know what to do?
