These chickens are 9 months old and I wonder what breed they could be - or are they a mix?
They were sold to me as chicks of some breed but the saleswoman couldn't tell them apart, so does this committed community have any suggestions? Thanks a lot for your kind help!

This is a firsttime-supermom and rather small, bantamsize

Hello friends
Bantam Asil have been created at the end of the 19th century by an English breeder named William Flamank Entwisle. The breed got very popular after its creation but after a couple of decades interest in this variety slowly died out. Bantam Asil appeared in the Dutch poultry standard of 1920 in several colours but also overhere the breed died out too. Till beginning of the 1980's nothing was heard abouth these little Asil again. A Belgian breeder named Willy Coppens recreated them again using Ko Shamo, Indian Game bantams (very small ones from the US) and Reza Asil. German breeders like Andreas Niehsen and Hartmut Vieregge participated in this new project and the breed was recognized and taken into the German poultry standard. The breed was also introduced again in Holland and later in United Kingdom too. At present day Bantam Asil are quite popular and they are bred in various colors. Weight max.750 Gram (1.65 Lb). I classify these little Asil as "toy birds". Some are not game and others are just as game as their bigger counterparts.

Regards, Willem

Wow, they are gorgeous, especially that first hen. Her color pattern is fantastic, like a tiger or cheetah. They are probably some kind of Asian game breed maybe crossed with American game. You should definitely post this thread and pictures in here:https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/show-off-your-american-gamefowl.613455/

They may have a better idea of what precisely you have.

Thanks for the suggestion and the link, I'll do that.
And yes, the hen is really lovely, super caring and vigilant as a first-time brooder and mother. She's definitely a keeper. But the rooster (pic, I've got two of them) I don't know. Originally I wanted a new rooster for my gallinas caseras (regular home mix) but I'm reluctant crossing in an asil because of it's aggressiveness, although these two aren't too aggressive.
Two more roosters (lean, bigger, red/brown, surely asils too, dang!) already landed on the dinner table because they attacked me to blood. That's definitely not what I was looking for originally. I sure feel cheated. But they're quite nice animals to look at.
