Mixed ages..will roos abuse the little girls?

he will TRY,, he's suppose to,,, but the HENS wont let him, no matter what, till their ready.if they have ROOM to run away from him. put up a bunch of "breaks" stick pile, extra crates outside to hide in,open coop door, just so he cant corner them and they cant jump outta his "male ways" hehe

The people that gave him to me were vague. They 'may' have had him for year and he was "good sized" when they got him.

My best guess is that he may be 2-3 years old. SOmeone told me you can age them by their spur length. Mine only has one spur and it is about 2 1/2" and very thick and dark at the base of his leg.

Good Luck

I guess you will just have to see how it goes. Put them together when you have time to pull up a chair at the coop and watch them for a while.

I agree. You can try and put them together and see how it goes, but be ready to separate them if you need to. The site (pimpdaddywrinkles) quoted is a great site.

There is a right or wrong way, just different ways. That's what make us all so unique.
