Hey all!
I have a small, young flock of 4 chickens (age 4-6weeks) and a younger turkey (maybe 2 weeks?) (see photo)
I went to a local feed store andy they sold me Purina Mixed flock starter. I am not sure if this is right for for all the birds, espcially the young turkey! I thought they needed closer to 30% protien, and it only has 20%. Suggestions?
I am thinking of returning the feed tomorrow and going in search of something better suited for my little flock.
TIA for any advice.

Sounds okay to me. It's recommended to feed turkeys a game bird starter, but I raise all my poults on an 18% chick starter, with a daily treat of scrambled eggs, they grew slower when solely fed the chick starter, but grew better with the eggs added in, and I saw no different than those fed the game bird. When poults reach 4 weeks you are suppose to lower the protein down anyways, and again at 8 weeks.
