Need to rehome my entire flock of chickens and one lonely female rouen duck. Free to GOOD HOME ONLY - please good pet home only, not for stew pot.

Every summer it seems it is the same story; a bobcat picks off my flock one at a time. It is just not in the cards right now to build a run, and my husband and I are planning on going to AZ for a few months this winter, so we were most likely going to have to rehome them all in a few months anyway. Now that bobcat is back, I'd like to try to rehome them now before he gets them all. :( He got my male duck this morning, a speckled marans hen yesterday, and has gotten several seramas in the past couple weeks as well.

Going from memory, but I currently have:

2 Isa Brown hens (approx 2 years old)
1 speckled maran hen (1 yr old)
4 wheaten/blue wheaten ameraucanas (1 yr old)

3 Malaysian Serama hens (2-1 yr old, 1 around 5 months old)
3? Malaysian Serama roosters (1 yr old)
6 - serama chicks, hatched out by mom around 2-3 weeks ago.

1 - female rouen duck. (1 yr old) Very lonely now that her mate was just killed earlier today :(

Can get pics later if interested. Located in Baldwin, MI. All healthy.

Darn, if we weren't 400 miles apart I would be all over this.

I'm very sorry about the bobcat. It sounds like a chicken horror movie to have one be picked off each day!

Darn is right! This is the 3rd summer in a row that a bobcat is terrorizing us. They are protected so legally we aren't allowed to do anything to them...although if my husband gets one in his sights I think it is time to SSS. We are both so sad that he got the duck this morning - we loved that duck :(

I do not think protection laws apply when protecting your wildlife and most states bobcats are not protected they are varmits. I hate to see you left, you have some good post. If nothing else trap the beast.
