Hey there. We recently lost our Rouen who was keeping our flock dynamic really peaceful (turns out). Our 2 Ancona drakes fancy our bonded Black Swedish gals the most but also tend to bully and chase them away. Wondering if a goose might help keep the drakes more mellow or if we just need to introduce more females. We are down to 4. We are thinking of adding more but introducing some different breeds whether we get a goose or not.

Keeping duck drakes with chicken hens can be very dangerous if they are trying to mate since they have different anatomy than roosters. They need to be separated.
I don't see there are chickens?

💯 agree, more female ducks!
I know some people get one goose to put in with ducks or chickens, but I don’t think it’s a happy life for a goose to not live with other geese. I have three geese. They are very happy together. I keep them next to , but not in with , my Ducks. They watched the sky and make a lot of noise when they see predators. But honestly, a goose will not fight a predator to protect a duck or a chicken. A gander will fight and sacrifice his life for his Goose family though.
