Mixing Breeds in the Flock

My only real concern was for my two Cream leg bars because they are the only two with a little feather crests on their heads (not big just little ones), also they have bigger combs on heads, but also they are only about 4/5 lbs when fully grown. All the rest are larger birds around 6-8lbs. I hope they don't get picked at or on a lot because of their difference.

They'll do just fine, especially if they are raised together. When we started our mixed flock we got two of each breed. Then I saw one gawky, half feathered Japanese bantam mixed in with the tiny babies and just had to take her home. She has held her own and is the most feisty, verbose bird we have.

I have barred rock chickens and a BR rooster. None of them are broody at all (now 2 years old and not laying very well anymore). I have heard that bantams are good at sitting on eggs but I know they are smaller than my girls. So I would like to get a couple of bantams but I am concerned about them being picked on because of their size. Has anyone had experience adding smaller chickens to an existing large breed group of chickens?
