Mixing broody hens with the flock

My silkie x broody hen has six 1 week old chicks but their just in a big dog box.can I put them in the chicken coop with the flock.the mother hen is in the Middle of the pecking order

I always get my broodys back in the flock asap, if I pulled them out to brood. You need to have plenty of space for the chicks to get away from the mature hens, and be sure the feeder and waterer are low enough for the chicks (and not a drowning risk). Momma is usually hormonal enough no one wants to mess with her or her babies, and the chicks grow up learning good manners.

X2. I usually let my broody hen take her chicks to mingle with the rest of flock when the chicks turn 4 or 5 days old.
