First, she/he asked about feeding, not housing. Now, SS, they were giving friendly, helpful advice and making you aware of things you may have not known. BUT, they make it seem like 'no exceptions'. I know people who have crossed the two species, I know people who keep them together just fine and others who have had detrimental results. It's more, do you want to take a chance? Some say don't raise turkeys near chickens because they'll contract a horrible disease called black-head, BUT, it's actually they MAY contract the disease. MANY people keep them together fine, because the chickens don't carry the disease. You may do fine, you may not. If you can afford the chance, than do what you will. Make sure the birds get along, and have the gamebird feed and chicken feed separate. You were given a warning, and it's okay for you to do what you feel you should, but just be aware.
