I have four growing out now that just passed 8 weeks and want to pick up two 3-4 week olds. Is it ok to mix them? Do I need to quarantine the new ones? I will definitely have the chicks physically separated at first, but not sure if this is ok or if they are too far apart in age. I wanted to introduce all 6 young ones to my two established hens at the same time. Power in numbers and all! TIA

Most definitely quarantine new birds! 4 weeks quarantine should be enough but longer if you can as moving is stressful for birds. Introduction through the fence after that is best-(see but no touch). Do not mix until all birds are close to same size as one another.
