Mixing new ducklings with older ducks? *Update #13*

Hi. I had two three year old Welsh Harlequin hens and our chickens killed one. The other duck was very sad and lonely. I picked up three Dutch hookbills - one full grown but young, and 2 awkward teen looking babies. Day one, in the yard, they were all fine. The new ones started following Maye around and she was very nice about them - they all slept together in the Doghouse. Today she was grumpy with the little ones, nipping at them. It looked like she was scolding them. Is that normal?

My baby ducks, 5 weeks old, run from my older duck. I lost my other older duck & got the 2 ducklings to be with him. Will the ducklings stop running from him?
