I have one thing to say....breed what you want to breed. If you want to breed mixes, fine then breed them. Don't sell them as pure breed though. I have no intention of selling ours that are not pure, but I don't see a problem with mixing them. As far as putting all breeds together for non-breeding season. I know at least one breeder here in my state that come winter, they house all their pheasants together (reeves included) and they've never had a problem. It's a shame that some people sell mixed breeds as pure, but that's why you buy from someone you've had experience with or you know for a fact that it's pure.
