Is it feasible to add polish hens to a flock with other breeds without injury? I have plenty of run space so crowding should not be an issue, I plan on ordering 6 (hopefully at least 2 being hens). I will be raising them with ameraucana chicks then later integrate with my established flock.

As long as they aren't crowded or raised with more assertive breeds you should be okay. I have a bunch here and they are doing fine, well except being in the way because they don't see me coming.

You do have to watch as the crest feathers come in. Sometimes the feather sheaths stay on the feathers which allows them to fall over and expose the skin on the head which can be a target. Either gently work them off, or do as I do and trim the crests short if necessary. I on and off trim crests on mine depending on how the bird is doing.

Some questions have no clear answers. Some people add polish to flocks of other breeds with no problems. Some have problems adding Ameraucana to Ameraucana or any other breed. You do not get guarantees with living animals and their behaviors.

I have no idea how much total space you have in coops or runs or how many total chickens you have or will have. I've seen several posts on here where people say they have lots of room but their problem was that the chickens were overcrowded. Hopefully you do have plenty of coop space and run space. The more room you have in coops and runs the better your chances of any integration going well. But even with a huge amount of room some people sometimes have problems. Sometimes when room is a little tight people do really well.

I wish you luck!
