MJ's little flock

I've made it! Relaxing was key. So was gentle rowing. But I've come back in early and left my friends out on the water. They were heading for a couple of ship wrecks and I didn't have the strength to paddle against the wind.

Here's a photo from deep in the mangroves. It was soooo peaceful in there.

Well done. Will you do it again?

I only had two wobbly scares, one accidental beaching, and a half dozen or so going the wrong ways. For me, that's a very small number of kayaking mishaps. I became very skilled at doing the limbo under overhanging branches.

The waterways were amazing. Such clear water. We could see all the baby fish.
Deep water roll next.:p

They look like pullets to me, but I’ve not had experience with cockerels/roosters. @Kris5902, @Shadrach, @CrazyChookChookLady, can you help us out here please?
I wait. If they lay an egg they're probably female. The ones that don't lay eggs are male I believe although I've had a few exceptions to the rule.:p

The colourists.
I see a lot of this now, the three blondes with Mag and sometimes Mag and Link; the blacks hens with Punch.

I'm a little foggy this morning, did Peggy win the overall title?.
You know I hadn't even thought of it in those terms until you mentioned it, but yes. 166 eggs from Peggy, which is amazing when you consider she only got started on February 7. Mary and Janet were a whole month in when Peggy joined in. But if I recall, Mary was on an extended summer holiday.
