I was once caught in a spray of seawater a blue whale had blown out. The wind was strong out there and the boat was downwind of her. Utterly wonderful.

That was off the Margaret River region.

I was indeed. I went with the Italian plates instead. I think the country roses are amazing.

It was such an unusual thing, I'm so glad I took that boat trip! My friends had instead gone to a surfing lesson and had tried to coerce me into joining them. But I've never even begun to imagine myself on a surfboard while whale-watching had been a long held hope
