Peggy's been in a very bad mood lately. She's eating and drinking well. I haven't had a chance to evaluate one of her poops for a while, so maybe she's having liver trouble again.

It's so good that you recognize the change in mood. It helps you to key in on issues quickly. Good work.

The other possibility is that she's grumpy about there being no more weeds to eat. Last week the friend who pulls weeds for me visited and threw loads of them into the run. The hens have eaten them all up and I think Peggy really enjoyed it. She might be refusing to go back to dry pellets and feeling cranky about it. She does ok with evening mash so I'm not worried about her starving.

Anyway I'll watch for Peggy poop over the weekend. I have to watch for sparrows too.

All good but it's been a challenging fortnight. Next week is not as arduous, I should be able to actually get work done instead of talking talking talking in meetings.

Mary is a very sensitive instrument. It doesn't take much attentiveness to read her indications of Peggy's grump factor
