No, she's endearing sometimes.

I don't do cars.Lots of reading time on the bus I guess. You can always get a car some time
I wonder how it went. Hopefully Loz will fill us in.Or she could be like Belle and just settle down easily in a new box
Tegan’s been sitting for a while though so hopefully moving her will be enough![]()
Free transportation is fabulous! I recall Dad got a lot of use from the public transport once he had his seniors card. He was always gadding about, bless himI don't do cars.Trucks or motorbikes. I may get a motorbike but tbh I'm quite content with my free travel bus and train pass.
Bitsa chicks and broody hens.If the new coop got here this week I was considering letting Belle do what you have let your ladies do with the barnyard bitsa eggs I could get from the farm a few blocks away where my girls came from.
It’s been hot here so I’ve been taking Belle out, she started plucking her chest feathers again yesterday when she was in there which tells me she’s as serious as the first time. The 2 other times she was a bit half arsed. 4 times since spring though, is that crazy or normal?!
I’m back at work friday and coop isn’t here so instead ive set up the cage for her tonight to try to coax her out of it.
I’ll think on the idea a bit longer, I’m not sure how emotionally resilient I am right now…or everhonestly, I’m a sook!
Sorry for the novel on your thread MJ! It helps to share with chicken folk, others don’t understand or care![]()
So do I.By the way, I like reading long comments!
A bit of foot in mouth is hardly a critical flaw.Thank goodness for that.!
I frequently suffer from severe foot-in-mouth disease and only realize how something sounds when it's too late, if I realize at all...
Thank you for your patience, understanding, er dispensation? Any way, thanks!
I know someone has had a go at this later on in the thread.I'm not blaming myself, merely reflecting on the possibilities.
I honestly don't think there's any blame to be laid anywhere. Things go wrong. That's nature.
I can see why people like using incubators.
Absolutely. Look how I have trained the human. And Peggy gets to be elevated above her peers!
No wonder she likes it so much![]()
I don't think it was unusual Bob. MJ has just been very unlucky. Out of all the broody hens I've watched sit and hatch I can't think of one that didn't hatch at least one chick and usually most of the eggs that were fertile. I have had hens hatch chicks that didn't survive long and hens abandon partially hatched chicks. So Sydney successfully hatching 3 out of 3 eggs was much more unusual than I thought. I never guessed how lucky her and I were.
