I think I'm going to choose Cilin for my vicarious rooster. He was so sad that day he lost his tail that he touched my heart.

He would be my third boy. Then there's also Frog the Rooster but I don't know if they're on BYC.

It seems they're hard to come by in many places.Lozzy has a good vet too, and Shad, but I think we're the only ones.

Avian vets are worth their weight in frog feathers!

Sandy update

I haven't seen her as bonny in a long time. Nice red comb, filling out a bit, cheerful.

We still have the option of the chicken hysterectomy on the table (or maybe an implant) should she become sick again. But for now, I think she's doing ok. She sits on the nest without laying maybe once every ten days.

The only way I can have roosters is vicariously through this group, so I choose Stanley and Treacle.

Me too! But I love all the roosters here, even the naughty ones (because I don't have to deal with the behaviour! Ha!
