I'm getting 4 a day now, almost every day. They are pumping the eggs out.

About ten a day here.

You know you could pretty much name these chickens. There's a Sussex [maybe 2] & a Wyandott & possibly a Hamburg. What do you think?

Here's the egg tally for this year so far.

Janet's still out in front, but Peggy is closing in on her. Mary dropped out of the race when her moult started. Sandy... And Ivy is yet to start.

How are your chooks laying? Nice and steady?

Four of my girls are steadily laying nothing . Only Alice is laying once every two or three days.

Luckily we are still going through the backlog of eggs.

Likewise @Aussie-Chookmum. I dimly recall you saying there was a bit of moulting going on. Is that right? And we have Winter coming up too.

I'm pleased to say Peggy's laying is slowing down. Two eggs in three days seems to be her routine at present.
