I must say, tje egg color was lovely! It was very nice but eggs from the backyard have much more flavour. Not that I'm ungrateful to those unknown Island hens.
The tea was amazing.

Was it pale? On my end it’s almost golden? I must look again.Very pale yellow, lovely colour. But not as "wow" as my henny friends' eggs.

I love Blossom the honorary chicken cat. I miss having cats.
Do yours freerange all day? Mine only get a couple hours a day, so yolks are brighter than solely penned hens, but probably not as bright as freerange.Paler than I'm used to.
At present, yes, because I'm working at home most days. But their yard is not huge like the land Shad's range over. I can't recall exactly how big the chickens' yard is, maybe 35m2. There's only the four of them and it's winter so all the weeds and grasses are growing and the worms are closer to the surface than usual. Just now there's lots for them forage. They also have access to pellets (Barastoc's golden yolk) and mixed grain (Laucke's Se7enteen) whenever they feel like it, which is several times a day. I give them mash morning and night too, mainly to ensure Peggy gets her enzymes.Do yours freerange all day? Love that. It’s summer here and I’m struggling just to keep the chicken yard green! California droughts and all. I feel I can’t go crazy on water use, even though it goes back into the ground it came from!At present, yes, because I'm working at home most days.
