MJ's little flock

When I was breeding/showing Cockers, ONLY one was hysterical going to the vet. We used to call her "The Whirling Dervish." She'd grab everything with her paws, like the door once we were going through. All the ashtrays off the magazine tables. You can see how long ago - no ash trays anymore.

Well she did have reason, vet spayed her, vet removed all her mams because he said they could go cancerous- HUH! That bothered her the most - she really suffered.

I was in my 20's then and believed - some how that he was right.:idunno
That would be considered unprofessional in Australia these days. But I know what you mean about acquiescing to authoritative men when you're a young woman. I acquiesced to a lecherous old doctor when I was 18. It was years later I realised he was taking a good look.

I had a ob-gyn who used to hug me & kiss my hand. I was quite a bit younger then(1983) and it really upset me. But, I decided(being stupid) that he probably did that to all the women.

When I was 40 he stopped it. I told my psychiatrist and he was very solemn and said
"40 is the cut off point." He was disturbed when I said he never had a nurse with him.

So creepy.

And that is why I don't do cats in boxes. I get the added joy of unhappy yowling. Mine do not like cars.

That is one gorgeous kitty though, Bob!

Davis loves the car. I would let him out of the carrier if I had it. He travels well and is a good boy for the vet. In fact it is time for him to go. He won't like that I schedule his next visit based upon the date of that photo.

Apologies to @BY Bob

But today I'm very grateful for three eggs from three little sweethearts.

Sandy's is on the left. Mary's is the white one.

What Sandy looked like when she was sick

I found this snap on my phone and thought new chickeners who see it may be helped by it.

Tail down.
Standing still.
Puffed up.
She's preoccupied by pain.

Sandy a couple of days ago.

Tail up.
Active.
Bright attitude.
No pain = digging up a dust bath.
