I love travelling for holidays, it's so much fun to go somewhere new (or familiar) with loved ones.

But business travel is a mighty inconvenience, especially when there are beautiful hens in backyard. I'm going to miss them.

Just as well it's only for a few days.

Ok, this is where I have to 'fess up. The man has been known to put my cats on the phone so we can *chat* while I'm away. Apparently they get very excited. He hasn't suggested doing it with the chooks yet but no doubt given enough time the thought will occur to him...

I raised dogs years ago and when I was away, and called them at home - none of them replied to what I said. Very rude of them.
