MJ's little flock

Good morning MJ:frow
Jeannie, I so so understand. I've spent decades fighting the bad guys. Too many things got up and personal, but never as personal as when my kid was involved. I am all too familiar with how the news works... Let's just say I miss the days when folks wanted to present facts and let us sort out what we saw as truth. If you wonder why I like hanging out with you folks, it's because some of my best memories come from my Aussie friends fighting this crap in the trenches.:hugs
lol Yeah, we tend to be pretty blunt & have good crapometers!:lau Also, my degree being in language I tend to get really irate when it is being used to manipulate people's thinking. I hate the news using emotive language! Facts are the thing.:)

Absolutely terrifying! :hugs :fl

I’m also dismayed by the lack of good information being shared in the media... this is mostly why I no longer follow the “news”. When it’s more about who Brad Pitt (my fav male “celebrity in example”, nothing intended) is dating or what the Markle royal bride is wearing, or political backlash and the ‘oooh! Legalization of pot!’ Or the latest ‘Trump Scandal!’ than the important events in the world? Meanwhile there people with toxic undrinkable water in Canada, war, famine, and civil unrest in many other countries. I’m sorry, but the sensationalism must end at some point... it’s scary how easily manipulated society has become. :hmm

Yep. I mean, I'm quite good @ creating my own drama [it was my minor :lau] so I really don't need any help from the news department & I am quite interested in what's going on outside Oz & Hollywood.

I agree. It's disturbing. My wife said she finally saw something on it on tonight's news. It's taking too long for this to be reported upon.
I got something on our ABC but it was more a commentary than a precise of what's going on now. And it was out of date by days!!!

Tempting fate

In South Australia the people who raise show chickens auction their excess stock every now and then. Saturday morning my friend, her daughter and I are going to one of these auctions.

If there are a pair of endearing Sussex pullets on offer, I won't be accountable for my actions.
