Three little hens out in the big yard, tummies full of healthy breakfast, all of them rolling around in the dust and saying rrrrrrr-rrrrrrrr-rrrrrrrr

How's Pepper today?

Pepper spent the morning in the dog crate, but I let her out in the afternoon and she immediately had a loooong dust bath .

I just went out to lock them up and she was in the nesting box, so, back in the dog crate she went!

Interestingly, although I heard at least 3 egg songs today, there were no eggs to be found in any of the nesting boxes. Hmmmm

Pepper has spent the last two days in the new coop nesting box being a flat, angry pancake and growling and pecking at anyone who comes near. Even Tsuki-the-bully hasn't been able to shift her.

I think I have my first broody folks.

Fluffy screeching pancake! Pepper can come and keep my Charlie company in broody jail.
