MJ's little flock

As soon as we're home and they're comfy again, I'll provide an update. The appointment is at noon, so an update will come about an hour later, ie roughly 24 hours from now.
I hope it's nothing serious and can be easily dealt with :fl

I hate to tell you this MJ, but your coop may not be entirely secure......:lau
That "fence" is barely sufficient to keep the chooks in. I'm sure they only stay behind it to oblige me :gigIvy notwithstanding! My brother and I put it up (I won't say built because that would be a drastic overstatement). I'm having a proper fence put in soon. Their henhouse is super-secure for safety while roosting.

Good evening everyone 😊

Janet is going to the vet tomorrow and Peggy is coming along for the ride.

Janet's having her gammy eye checked because it doesn't seem much better after a week of lincospectin and Peggy's poo is a little too dark for comfort since she started laying again.

Mary and Ivy appear to be in good health.
:fl will be watching for your update :hugs

I suppose the tribes range over too wide a territory to ever get coccidiosis. Is that right? Or does it crop up from time to time?
Unfortunately I've had to deal with a lot of coccidiosis here.
Six years ago I burnt the entire section of ground Tribe 2,3 and 4 had their coops on and that greatly improved things. They eat close to their coops at dusk.

So do I.:)
I will be a bit more tidy shortly because I would like to get to eat at least one of the gooseberries this year and hopefully some tomatoes.

Lucy discovered the blueberry bush last spring that I planted for her and Emily. At least she beat the lorikeets to it this time!
