MJ's little flock

Hahaha :gigall touching is completely on her agreement, so maybe I'm not a chicken molester?

Ultimately, it's going to be so much easier to take her to the vet if she trusts me, so finding a way to gently touch her without a panic setting in is a good outcome. If I go for her wings and back, she runs away. But if I go for her crop, she sees me coming and says "ok, but not for long."
I tease but you are doing the right thing.

I was just talking to Mrs BY Bob this morning about what an odd chicken Aurora is. Such the polar opposite of her sister. She has been with me well over a year now. I cannot touch her without inducing abject terror. She is so strong and fights so hard when held that I am always fearful that I am going to hurt her. She has been this way since day 1. I have given up. I don't believe that she will ever warm to being touched. 😥

I've been trying to but so far all of them think they should maybe take a studious look at my hand in case it's holding very small food. In taking the look, the beak is taken out of range.
I suffer with the same issue. The hand is the giver of food. Therefore the beak must be withdrawn to optimal striking distance in case a tasty morsel is inside.

Bring them on. I'm even feistier today. Yesterday was not what it was supposed to be and my attitude is not better.

People better buckle up today.

Yikes, that sounds 😳 ( sorry I can't think of the work I want 😭)

Good Morning to All. 🌞

Good morning Bob 🙂 have a great Friday
