MJ's little flock

You know I hadn't even thought of it in those terms until you mentioned it, but yes. 166 eggs from Peggy, which is amazing when you consider she only got started on February 7. Mary and Janet were a whole month in when Peggy joined in. But if I recall, Mary was on an extended summer holiday.
Does she get a trophy out a plaque, or something? I'm thinking I will keep track this year and maybe put a plaque in the coop for the top producer.

A good day today. The little pullets (Snow and Belle) have been in the run all day with Bokky, the ISA.
She had a few charges and a feather grab here or there, her annoyed and loud vocalisation ceased after about an hour this morning, but most of the day they have been lazing around ‘together’, Bok under her coop and the wee ones under the nesting box with the wall of wire between. I got a small bag of scratch to use to distract Bok with but with all fingers crossed it won’t be as necessary for that reason, it can just be a treat for her until it’s used up.
So close to cohesion! It’s giving me great hope that they will mesh sooner than I thought. I’m guessing things can go from good to bad quickly though? First time integrator here so am I living in a dream world of rainbows and lollipops? hahaha
They don’t challenge her, they get the fact she’s the boss, and maybe being so young makes that part easier? 🤷🏻‍♀️
Going to leave them out together until bedtime, I think the pullets will go back to their own cubby house but it would be so cute if they follow Bok 🥰
It is rare that integration turns vicious but it can be difficult to watch at times. It is likely they will each go their own roost until you force the issue. Cohesion takes time. Give them time.

She is lovely, but unfortunately it doesn't say. She looks like a Sansa chicken to me. What do you think ByBob?
Feathered feet, wrong comb, it's not Sansa (Gold Laced Wyandotte). I'm not sure what breed that is. Just another example of how misleading feather color can be.

Thanks for the confirmation @micstrachan 👍
It's not a GLW. It has feathered feet.

See any feathers on those feet?
