I am a bit puzzled by the road runner eggs. It seems like Dotty lays every 3-4 days but that Minnie has laid only one egg, ever. She doesn't seem unwell so I am assuming it is just how it is.

I had an EE like that. She laid 1 maybe 2 in December then April she laid again and was one of my more regular layers with an average of 5 eggs a week.

It was when I was part of the mediaeval movement ACM and I belonged to. There was an event over Easter called the Rowany Festival and one evening croquet-by-candlelight was set up. I had never played croquet before, much less by candlelight so I gave it a go! It was heaps of fun! There was a little bell hung from each hoop which rang when the ball went through, and a candle either side of the hoop.

To be honest I didn't like hijacking other people's threads with stories and thoughts about the hens at my house. No one else minded but I thought it would be great if the hens had their own thread documenting their ups and downs.
