MJ's little flock

I have a guilty conscience this morning.

I'm meeting a friend for a very long overdue catch up. I'll be gone for several hours in the middle of the day.

With no fencing to protect the hens from dogs and the funrun not yet finished, they'll have to remain in the big coop until I get back.

They're scolding me at the tops of their voices. Rightly so, I deserve a good scolding for not doing a better job of managing my commitments.

I'm sure they will forgive you quickly if you share a bit of that lovely zucchini you have...;)

I've been scanning the state plany nursery catalogue to find some funrun plants.

I'm going to list the likely ones here in case anyone is interested.

Banksia Ornata
Calytrix tetragona
Correa pulchella
Correa reflexa
Eutaxia microphylla
Goodenia ovata

I'll add more later.

You can't put natives in a chicken pen. They don't tolerate the poo @ all well. You will need exotics.
