MJ's little flock

I feel pretty safe saying that this is not at all a common occurrence. I trusted Sydney and that trust was rewarded. This was one of the great experiences in my life.

I think Ivy could be trusted with chicks but Myth has me worried.

My friend sat near me for her afternoon nap :love😍🥰🤗

You can see one of her bald spots.

I don't think that you should worry about Myth. I truly believe that what happened with her is very rare. I would consider not a lot of eggs though. Fewer chicks should be easier. That's one of the reason I only gave Sydney 3 eggs. That and I didn't want 5 roosters to deal with.

How old were they when you got them from the school?
I was trying to remember but it is all a blur. I had no experience of chickens or any kind of bird before and I was terrified.
I literally had to watch you-tube videos to figure how to get them from my garage to their little coop. I thought they might fly away and I was terrified I would break them somehow.
I am an animal person. It was birds and wings that had me freaked. They were not tiny.
My avatar picture is Diana a few weeks after I got them and started enjoying their curiosity and willingness to share their opinions with me. What do you think? Maybe 6-8 weeks?
Oh I dug up a picture of baby Maggie shortly after I got them.

They look about 6 weeks old. That is pretty close. How adorable. 🥰

What a wonderful chance you took. Aren't you glad?

I can't express how glad I am. I just love my little Princesses. And I had forgotten how adorable Maggie was at that age. Soo cute! I think I have to go back out across the ice to tell her.
They had real attitude even at that age!
:love

So little! I didn't realise you had them as youngsters!
