MJ's little flock

Good evening folks :frow

Scrambles... For Pain relief the consensus seems to be: "You can give 1/2 of a low dose 81 mg aspirin orally into her beak twice a day for up to 3 days" Children's aspirin is 81 mg, so half of a children's tablet, twice a day up to three days.
I'm just making this note for myself for future reference. Please ignore it.

If ever a hen needs pain relief, crush aspirin in dosage described above, then fold into a special treat. Make sure only the sick hen eats it.

Her balance seems to be a bit better. I am still doing the massages. I don't know if they are helping, or time and natural adjustment to the problem is making the difference. I'll keep up with the massages anyway because it's a good excuse to hold her for a while.:duc:love
I'm glad she sits still for it. If I ever had to massage Aurora's back I would probably makes things worse as she fought me every second.

i took this photo yesterday, thinking I'd use it for FBF, but then I noticed all the new tail feathers coming through and decided to share it here instead.
