Especially with flipping lockdown complicating matters. It's not a good thought. Would the cats' vet see a hen if you were desperate?

Apparently there’s an avian specialist at a different vet practice in town. I could try there.

I'm very lucky to have access to an avian specialist. I count my blessings. Shall I ask him if he does zoom consults?

That’s very nice of you but it’s probably too complicated for Zoom. She might need an X-ray if she doesn’t pick up soon.

For what it's worth, Mark is not around the corner. I take a 40 minute drive to get there and 40 minutes back again. But it's worth it.

Well, today someone dismantled the wine barrel nest. There may have been some yummy worms in the soil, so I can't blame them. I'll try again this weekend.

Also, Ivy reverted to using the nest in the little coop! If she keeps that going while her friends keep going with the laundry basket, it will makes things much easier if Ivy decides to sit and I get her some eggs.

We'll see how things turn out, but for today I'm pleased.
