There've been some upheavals in the tribe lately. Mary is asserting herself beyond all recognition. Butter melts in her mouth now. Rather quickly. Even Janet is having to cower.

The good news is that Mary is still rather slow on her feet, so everyone can run away from her easily.

Any thoughts as to why she might be doing so?

Any thoughts as to why she might be doing so?

I have a few but they're a bit ummm imaginative:

1. Is it possible Mary is feeling broody without sitting?
2. Is it possible probiotics have her feeling aggressive?
3. Or maybe she's just feeling older and grumpier?
4. Or maybe Janet is feeling less assertive?

Do any of those seem likely? Maybe I've missed something?

Edit. Here's another strange thing. Since the roosters started crowing (one up the street, one down), one of the hens started making a loud sort of scream. Like "aaaaahhhhhh" but as loud as possible. I didn't know which hen until just now when it happened before my eyes. It's Mary. Is she calling to the roosters? Or is she asserting herself as the 'rooster' of her flock? Very thought provoking.
